L-DS was commissioned to evaluate existing proposals for the development of East 86th Street in Manhattan, a commercial area experiencing rapid growth.
The evaluation of the various proposals included reviews of current zoning, commercial activities and transportation conditions.
New planning opportunities were identified and recommendations made for their realization. In addition, a number of design studies were prepared dealing with public transport facilities, landscape design elements, building massing and set back requirements.
