L-DS was commissioned by the Wulfe & Co. and the Texas Department of Transportation for the redevelopment of approximately 4,000 linear feet along the IH 45 and Loop 610 as well as refurbishment of the Gulfgate Bridge, a 275 feet long pedestrian bridge. The firm provided service for total architectural refurbishment of the pedestrian bridge traversing Loop 610 that included the addition of stainless steel masts, tensile architectural accent cabling, architectural metal paneling and lighting.

The design of the refurbished bridge reflects a nautical influence referenced from the intersection of IH 45 and IH 610 being the gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. The bridge support extensions and new architectural cabling are designed to resemble the lines of a sailboat. The bridge featured unique lighting to make it an added focal point in the skyline at night. Additionally, the firm provided services for landscaping, sidewalk paving and the irrigation of Loop 610 North and South roads between Telephone Road and Interstate 45.  The pedestrian bridge connects the METRO park & ride to the Gulfgate Shopping Center.
